Some Monroe county homeowners are working to protect their belongings after a string of burglaries over the past month.

According to the sheriff's office, people are reporting stolen lawn equipment and tools from garages and carports.

It's happened on Camden Way, Highway 83 North, Popes Ferry Road and Estes Road, sometimes while people are home.

The sheriff's office is asking people to lock their garages and sheds.

Mitch Stanovich says he's not one of the victims, but that people in the neighborhood still need to take precautions.

The rule-of-thumb for an average adult is thought to be eight 8-ounce cups of water a day to maintain normal bodily functions.

According to Mayo Clinic, the amount of water an individual consumes a day depends on varying factors. If you're someone who exercises each day, is pregnant or breastfeeding or lives in a hot or humid climate, you need to consume more than eight cups per day.
