American Woodmark looks to fill positions in manufacturing at its cabinet-making facility in Jackson.
According to a release, a job fair happens Thursday, July 17 from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Monroe County Development Center in Forsyth.

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help American Woodmark fill a number of manufacturing jobs at its cabinet-making facility in Jackson next week.
The recruitment will be held Thursday, July 17, from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Monroe County Development Center, 89 Washington Drive in Forsyth.
The company is recruiting industrial maintenance and team leaders to provide mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair support to equipment at the plant. Schedule and shifts may vary. Starting pay is $10.35 an hour throughout a 90-pay probationary period, with a potential to earn $11.60 an hour on the third shift. Overtime may be required.
Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. They must also have a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED). Applicants for the industrial maintenance technician positions must have a minimum of two years vocational or technical training in industrial mechanics, pneumatics, or hydraulics. Also, they must have completed a basic electrical class consisting of industrial electricity, motor controls and industrial electronics (PLCs), as well as four years of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, including repair of air tools in a maintenance environment.
