The Forsyth-Monroe County Rotary Club has made a contribution to Monroe Reads with Ferst in support of childhood literacy. Monroe Reads with Ferst sends books to children who live in Monroe County from birth to age 5. Research has shown that this is a valuable way to prepare children for school. Children who have books in the home are better prepared to learn when they start school.
