(WXIA) -- Gov. Nathan Deal's office is preparing an announcement on changes to organizational structure at the Division of Family and Children Services, sources tell 11Alive's Rebecca Lindstrom.

According to the sources, DFCS will be separate from DHS and the head of DFCS will report directly to the governor instead of the commissioner.

Colts linebacker and Forsyth-native Mario Harvey hosts a youth football camp. That's on Saturday, June 14 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Mary Persons High School

It's for students who are ages 7 through 17 years old.

The camp is free and each child will leave with a T-shirt and poster.

Ocmulgee plans free children's workshops

Ocmulgee National Monument announces its annual Summer Children’s Workshops on Wednesdays, June 4, 11, 18, & 25 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.  The workshops are for children ages 6-12.  Children will take a one mile hike to see the Indian Mounds, learn about Southeast Indians and get to participate in making Native American crafts and playing games.
