Friday: Farmers Market

A weekly farmers market of local farmers with Georgia produce ranging from peaches, cabbage and tomatoes to honey and preserves. The market is Friday July 1, from noon to 6 p.m.

The weekly fee is only $5 for farmers to set up.

 

Mulberry St. Market Today!

Today the Mulberry Market in Downtown Macon features Deer Creek Farms in Forsyth, Dickey Farms in Musella, Davis Farms in Roberta, The Little Farm in Gray and the Evergreen East Farm in Jeffersonville.

The Mulberry St. Market is happening from 4-7 p.m. today, Wednesday.

Not only will you find produce, you can find beef, baked goods and jellies.

Spring Cleanup at Jarrell Plantation

Pitch in, grab a broom, or dust rag and help give the mills and farms buildings of Jarrell Plantation a good old-fashioned spring cleaning. 

The cleanup day is April 9 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Helpers get in free. 

For others, regular admission fees apply.

Florist Speaks at Arts Alliance, to Teach Classes

Jim Jones will visit the Monroe County Arts Alliance on Saturday, March 19 to talk about his upcoming class in floral arranging.

Jones will speak at 10 a.m.

Jones is a floral designer who opened his first shop, "April Flowers" in the building that is now the Arts Alliance in 1970. He has owned five flower shops since his first one in 1970. That's according to a Monroe County Arts Alliance release.

His class is tentatively set for the first three Saturdays in April.
