Memorial Service Set for Coliseum Health System CEO | News

Robin Parker with Coliseum Health Systems says a memorial service will be held in Macon for CEO Allen Golson. The service will be Saturday, February 11th at Christ Episcopal Church on Walnut Street.

Golson died when his plane crashed in Ocala, Florida on January 27th. According to the Marion County, Florida Sheriff's Office, he died of smoke inhalation and thermal burns. His wife Carol was aboard the plane and suffered non life-threatening injuries.

Coliseum says Golson served as a hospital administrator for 30 years. He had recently announced he would be leaving Coliseum for a CEO position at Ocala Health System.

Golson and his wife lived in Forsyth.
