Last Day: Register to Vote for the Primaries | Politics

Today is the last day to register to vote in the presidential primaries.

If you're not registered to vote, head over to the Monroe County Board of Elections. That's located at 550 North Lee Street in Forsyth.

Monday, February 6 is the voter registration deadline.

Things you need to register:

•  Be a citizen of the United States
• Be a legal resident of the county where you are voting
• Be at least 17 1/2 years of age to register and 18 to vote
• Not be serving a sentence for conviction of a felony involving moral turpitude
• Have not been found mentally incompetent by a judge
• One of the following forms of identification: 

              --​A valid Georgia driver's license

              --A valid identification card by any state or U.S. with photo

              --A valid United States passport
              --A valid Government employee photo identification card
             --A valid United States military identification card with photo

             --A valid tribal card with photo
