Organizing Fall Fling Day 28: Excuses

Organizing Fall Fling Day 28: Excuses

Fling those excuses. I’m waiting for the right time to reorganize my closet. I can’t do my taxes because I hate doing my taxes. Take the project, break it down into small do-able steps and then schedule those steps on your calendar. Take it one step at a time and get through it! If you need help, ask for it.

Organizing Fall Fling Day 27: DVDs

Organizing Fall Fling Day 27: DVDs

Gather all of your DVDs into one spot. Fling any that you don’t love or that you really don’t want watch again. If you’ve bought the movies recently, you may be eligible for a digital copy that will allow you to get rid of the disk and case, or at least keep them in an out of the way place like a high closet shelf.  Libraries love to get DVDs to add to their collection or to sell in their used book sales. So fling away!

Organizing Fall Fling Day 24: Your Schedule

Organizing Fall Fling Day 24: Your Schedule

No, don’t throw out your calendar. What I am suggesting is to look at your schedule and figure out 1 or 2 things that you can fling - maybe it’s a committee meeting that you really don’t need to attend or an open house that you’ve been invited to. Take them off your calendar now!

You need to guard your time as the precious resource that it is.

Treat Yourself and the Children's Miracle Network

When you treat yourself to a Dairy Queen blizzard this Thursday, you're also treating the Children's Miracle Network.

Thursday marks Miracle Treat Day, a day where at least a dollar from every blizzard will go to Children's Miracle Network, according to a release.

Last year nationwide and in Canada, the fundraiser brought almost $5 million to Children's Miracle Network hospitals.

The Children's Hospital of the Medical Center of Central Georgia is a member of the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
