Emergency Repairs Close I-75S in Monroe County

Crews are expected to close an I-75 southbound lane Friday for emergency repairs.

According to a Georgia Department of Transportation news release, crews will close a lane around mile marker 188 to repair a break in the pavement.

GDOT asks drivers to reduce their speed when going through the work zone.

I-75 Lane Closure Expected Near Pate Road

Crews are expected to close an I-75 North lane through Monroe County this week.

According to a Georgia Department of Transportation news release, I-75 northbound closes around mile markers 174-175 near Pate Road. That's from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily on Tuesday through Thursday.

Crews are scheduled to replace concrete slabs.

Crews to Close Two I-75 Lanes for Roadwork

Expect traffic delays on I-75 southbound this week.

Crews close two lanes along a Monroe County stretch of I-75 southbound starting Wednesday, according to a Georgia Department of Transportation news release.

That's scheduled for Wednesday, from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. near Exit 187.

Expect various I-75 shoulder closures along I-75 North and South for guardrail repairs through Monroe, Bibb and Houston counties.

Here's the detailed schedule from Georgia Department of Transportation:

 

  • Sunday, September 30

Houston: I-75 SB at mile marker 133, 7 p.m. until 8 p.m., near Exit 134 (South Perry Parkway)

                  I-75 NB at mile marker, 132, 8 p.m. until 10 p.m.

                  I-75 NB at mile marker, 134, 10 p.m. until 1 a.m.

Plan to reduce your driving speed on I-75 north between mile markers 174 and 175 this week.

According to a GDOT news release, from 9-4 Tuesday through Thursday, maintenance crews will close one lane for maintenance near Pate Road.

Maintenance Scheduled in Monroe County

The Georgia Department of Transportation announces routine maintenance activities planned for this week in Monroe County.  

The scheduled activity is expected to only require shoulder or median lane closures.

Crews are slated to cut trees and brush along along I-75 north and southbound  this week between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Department of Driver Services to Close Saturday for Holiday Hours

Department of Driver Services across the State of Georgia closes Saturday, September 1 for the Labor Day holiday, according to a DDS news release.

DDS offices are always closed on Mondays. Offices statewide will reopen Tuesday, September 4.

The news release warns that the first business day after being closed is busy and to plan accordingly. If possible, visit Driver Services later in the week.
