Forsythia Festival Events for Sunday, March 13

Kick off spring with the Forsythia Festival, held annually the second weekend in March in downtown Forsyth. This free, family-fun event features a two-day arts-and-crafts show, children’s fair, a 5K and one-mile fun run, sporting tournaments, live entertainment, and much more.  Celebrate the weekend with these community events.

Community Worship Service
9 AM
Forsyth Presbyterian Church, 63 North Jackson St. Worship with the Forsyth community, Forsythia Festival vendors. Worship services featuring Mercer Children’s Choir and local children and youth choirs.

Forsythia Festival Discount Days
9 AM–4 PM
Meadows National Gun Club, 1064 Rumble Road. Practice your clay shooting skills. 100 Targets. Members–$25, Non-Members–$35, 5 Stand, $5 per round of 25.

Black History Exhibit
10 AM–6 PM

Monroe County Special Olympics

The Monroe County Special Olympics will be starting up soon.

They will be held at the Mary Persons High School Track at the Montpilier Road entrance on March 25, 2011 from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Most of the events are in the morning.
